About the Cake Pull Tradition:

The cake pull ceremony is a beloved tradition dating back to Victorian times, particularly popular in Southern weddings. Before the cake is cut, ribbons are inserted between the cake layers with a charm attached to the end of each ribbon. Bridesmaids, close friends, or family members each select a ribbon and pull it from the cake to reveal their charm. Each charm carries a special meaning or prediction about the puller's future—such as love, prosperity, adventure, or good fortune.

This delightful moment creates anticipation, laughter, and memorable photos as each person discovers what their charm symbolizes. It's a wonderful way to honor your closest friends and family while adding a unique, interactive element to your wedding celebration.

What's Included:

This set includes 10 New Orleans-style silver color charms, each with its own special meaning, perfect for your bridal party and loved ones to enjoy this time-honored tradition.

They include one of each charm (10 total): OYSTER, PELICAN, MARDI GRAS MASK, CRAWFISH, ALLIGATOR, TRUMPET, FLEUR DE LIS, EIFFEL TOWER, DOUBLE HEARTS, and CHILI PEPPER as well as RIBBON, ORGANZA BAG and either one CARD or 10 CARDS with the charm meanings. You will need to choose one card or individual cards from the drop down menu. The meanings are in the last paragraph below. You DO NOT have to tie ribbons or print the card yourself. I do that for you.

Cake Pull Meanings-

Alligator: You will live a long, enjoyable life.
Chili Pepper: There is a red-hot romance in your future.
Crawfish: You will have a life of good fortune.
Eiffel Tower: You will have a life of travel and adventure.
Fleur de Lis: You will experience a happy new beginning soon.
Heart:  You will know true love in your life.
Mardi Gras Mask: Your life will always be a party.
Oyster: You will have wealth and prosperity.
Pelican: You will have a life of plenty good friends.
Trumpet: You will have a life of smooth, jazzy style.

The charm meanings will be printed on pearled iridescent card stock with a gold shimmer. The ribbon I use is a slightly shiny Offray satin 1/8" wide and an Offray 1/4" wide which you can select from the drop down menu. Each charm will be connected with a 8" long ribbon. All these charms will have the same color ribbon of your choice.
